"The tragedy of the people of Palestine is that their country was “given” by a foreign power to another people for the creation of a new state. The result was that many hundreds of thousands of innocent people were made permanently homeless. With every new conflict their numbers increased. How much longer is the world willing to endure this spectacle of wanton cruelty?"

- Bertrand Russell
So my younger brother Ameer was at the protest in Betounia today for the Hunger Striker Khader Adnan,

astrangerdanger:

and as things got heated up, he was shot and hit with three rubber bullets as he was running away from a canister of tear gas

Nothing major happened and he just has some really pulp welts [he was wearing two jackets over a sweater and a shirt and was shot in the back].

But still, yeah, that happened, after being sprayed with skunk and tear gassed. Naturally, all this happens when I’m not in Palestine, so it really sucks that I wasn’t there, but either way he has those Palestinian genes in him.

He tells me he shot a few videos there and has one of when the IDF opened fire after shooting the tear gas when everyone was running, so hopefully when the internet over there speeds up a bit he’ll up sending them to me to upload for all of you.

He also picked up a rounds leftover as well as a teargas canister as mementos of the event.
