Do you want me to say, “It was a great plan, mwahahaha!” before I fly off on a magic carpet?
I was born and raised in this country and was just as shocked as everyone else to learn there were people on this earth so vile as to commit such a horrific attack - or to even think about doing it.
But I didn’t do it. Neither did 99.999999999 percent of the roughly 1.5 billion people in the world who also call themselves Muslims. So why should I or any other Muslim apologize for what happened?

I am keeping all of the tags because they are awesome and accurate.
#I will make you apologize for colonization where in the name of God, gold, and glory you decimated entire populations and enslaved the survivors #I will make you apologize for drone strikes in Pakistan and Afghanistan as you kill innocent civilians on a daily basis #I will make you apologize for genocides where millions perished including Bosnia where the Serbs raped the Muslim women and massacred 8000 men and women in a single day #I will make you apologize for imperialism where people all over the globe suffered and still suffer from its effects #I will make you apologize for Jim Crow and apartheid while you took away the dignity of minorities and made them second-class citizens #I will make you apologize for slavery and the brutal treatment of blacks and making them no more than property you sold at your whim #I will make you apologize for the Iraq war which was based on a lie and killed more civilians than 9/11 ever did #If you ask me to apologize for 9/11 I will make you apologize for the crusades where there was a river of blood flowing up to the crusader’s knees #let’s look at it this way #my people’s blood #you have no right no right whatsoever to make me or my fellow Muslims apologize for a crime we’ve never committed.
palestinianrefugeerevolution: A group of Muslim students are being tried in the US for protesting during a speech by Israel’s ambassador to the United States in 2010, Press TV reports.
State of California prosecutors argued on Wednesday that the 10 Muslim university students broke the law when they repeatedly interrupted a speech by the Israeli envoy, Michael Oren, during a public meeting in the University of California, Irvine, in February 2010.
The Orange County District attorney alleged that the Muslim students, known as “Irvine 11”, violated Oren’s right to free speech by delaying his remarks for 20 minutes.
However, supporters of the students insist that they were practicing their constitutional rights based on the First Amendment to the US Constitution and should not be criminalized for protesting.
“A foreign ambassador is coming to our home and talking to us about these issues and we can’t have a voice at the table nor can even voice it out in a protest,” said Kifah Shah of the ‘Stand with the Eleven’ group, in a Press TV interview.
Since the incident, the students and the school’s Muslim Student Union chapter have been disciplined by university officials.
A group of peace organizations believe the prosecutors pursued criminal charges due to political consideration in favor of the Israeli regime, the prime US foreign ally.
The group says the case is a prime example of selective prosecution and that the students are being punished because the Israeli ambassador was involved.
“Because they were protesting the activities of his country and also because the young men were all Muslim, and because perhaps those behind the prosecution thought that they could get away with it because of the rampant Islamophobia in this country,” said Ameena Qazi from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) of Los Angeles.
CAIR says this case has dealt a significant blow to Muslim-American students on college campuses across the country.
The Muslim organization says the prosecution would prevent Muslim students to feel that they are equally accepted in society and allowed to participate in public events.
The Irvine 11 trial is scheduled to last several weeks with closing arguments expected by September 23. If convicted, the Muslim students face up to six months in jail.

I am a very happy girl right now :)

1st July. It was this very date, a beautiful Egyptian woman named Marwa al Sherbini died . She was murdered; murdered whilst she was 3 month pregnant, whist her killer barked “you have no right to live”.
Marwa al-Sherbini was a Muslim woman who wore the headscarf and was stabbed 18 times in the space of 30 seconds in a Dresden courtroom. It is clear the murder was driven by Islamaphobia and racism. The German man, Alexandre W called her a “A Muslim bitch and a terrorist whore”, yet the German media believe it was a ‘Murder over quarrel over swing’.
Now you many wonder what was Marwa doing in the courtroom in the first place. The same courtroom she was killed, stabbed and had her life stolen. Al Sherbini had opened a case to sue the same man after he insulted and verbally threatened her in a public park, calling her an “Islamist and terrorist whore”.
It was during the second trial, whilst Marwa Al-Sherbini waited to take the next steps, did Alexandre W jump over and staved her continuously shouting ‘You have no right to live’, until every breathe was snatched off of her. People often forget that when one person dies, they don’t die alone. Parts of their family and friends leave as well. Marwa Al-Sherbini’s boy will never forget the death of his mother. The 3 year old boy was sat in the very same room as he witnessed the cold, brutal death of his mother. Her husband, was injured both physically and psychologically, shot and brutally wounded he now defines himself as a widower and a father who lost a child. Alexandre W’s attack may have been an Islamophobic act to ‘show her her place’, but what it really did was destroy lives. It destroyed her husband’s life, who lost a wife and a new child. It destroyed her son’s life, who lost his mother and a new sibling. But what more it destroyed a family, who did nothing, wrong but had the heritage of being a Muslim. Imagine being that 3 year old boy, seeing your mother die in front of you, and then your father slips into a coma? He had no one to hug, no one to comfort him; no one to hold him firmly and whisper “Everything is going to be alright”. An Islamophobic determined his life.
Islamophobia has become a problem. It’s an issue accelerated by non-Muslims, so the effect of tackling it will be stronger by non-Muslims. There were very few people in Germany at the time who defined this incident as an act of Islamophobia. Often people have the stereotype that Muslims and Jews hate each other. Really, are you that naïve? It was Stephan Kramer, the Secretary General of the German Jewish Council, one of the very few persons who described the murder as motivated by Islamophobia. The media today are the most powerful tool. But they are being powered wrong. All over our TVs we see terrorist, bearded men and the name of Muslims being marked as “evil, dark and bombers”, but they forget one thing. I won’t deny that there are people like this, and it’s important to tackle them. Bit isn’t it important that they’re less than 5% of the Muslim population. There are 1.9 billion Muslims in the world today; you really think they’re all killers who waste time on bombs? The media tend to focus on these attacks of a few Muslims rather than those that affect thousands of Muslims. Everyday an Islamophobic attack takes place and no person cares about it. I wonder how many new channels pay tribute to Marwa Al-Sherbini today?
The fight against Islamaphobia still continues, and nothing is going to happen unless the issue is taken seriously. The German authorities continue to disregard the rise of Islamophobia and prejudice towards women who wear the headscarf. Over half of Germany’s states ban women teachers and civil servants from wearing the headscarf which is widely seen as a sign of ‘holding onto one’s own culture’ and a ‘refusal to integrate’. There are probably many women who are attacked and discriminated against due to religious clothing, however do not report any attacks. It was Marwa al-Sherbini who did and decided to fight back, not only as a Muslim but as a woman
Islamophobia does KILL, and this is not the first time.
I finally went to Jerusalem Grill. Jerusalem Grill, if you don’t know, is an Israeli Jewish restaurant. Me being Muslim and from Palestine, I’ve always been scared and nervous to go in there. So I walked in today, the customers were all staring at me, which I’m used to because I’m so beautiful (masha’Allah), but then when the workers completely ignored me for five minutes, I felt the hostility… but then the owner lady finally asked me, in a very harsh tone, “DO YOU NEED SOMETHING?” and I just asked, “I was just wondering where your groceries are.” She said, “OTHER DOOR.” So I walked out, feeling the eyes burning into my back, and walked into the other part of the store. The man smiled and said “hello” but then the lady scorned him and then they started confrontations in Hebrew. And all I heard later was, “I DONT CARE, THIS IS WHY THERE ISN’T PEACE,” and then next thing I know the man came up and asked me, with a smile on his face, if I needed any help. I just smiled back and said, “I’m just browsing. Just wondering what you guys sold. But thank you.” And he just nodded, smiled and walked away. I walked around the small shop, and I just caught eye contact with the lady working there and she was giving me the dirtiest look. I just smiled and the man said something to her in Hebrew and she scoffed and turned away. But when I was walking out… the lady spit at my feet. I felt the love. I wasn’t trying to start anything, I was just curious as to what they sold… and that’s how I get treated. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left, I had a smile on my face so they know I’m not there to start shiiza, but even after what happened there today… I don’t even regret smiling in their faces.
JERUSALEM (AFP) — Israel’s law and order chief said Thursday some Muslims will be denied entry to Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa mosque compound Friday when Palestinians begin marking Nakba Day, which commemorates the displacement of over 700,000 Palestinians in fighting that led to the creation of the State of Israel.
Israeli Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch told public radio that police would “thin out the number of worshipers at the Temple Mount” — Israel’s term for the compound inside the walled Old City which houses the Al-Aqsa mosque and the Dome of the Rock.
The move to limit access to what is the third holiest site in Islam after Mecca and Medina, came as the Palestinians were poised to begin a series of marches and demonstrations in the run up to Nakba Day, which will be commemorated on Sunday.
Activists behind a website called “The Third Intifada” have also called for a new uprising, which would see thousands of Palestinians march towards Israeli checkpoints, and refugees towards homes from which they fled or were forced out of when Israel was created in 1948.
Palestinian refugees are also expected to stage rallies and demonstrations in Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan and Syria.
(…)
Israel’s army has beefed up its presence in the West Bank ahead of Sunday, out of the fear that large-scale demonstrations could break out during the day, Israeli media reported.
Authorities expect this year’s commemorations to be significantly larger than usual because Israel’s Knesset in March passed the “Nakba Law”, which allows the state to fine local authorities and other state-funded bodies if they use state funds to hold events marking the day, according to The Jerusalem Post.
Gueant said that he plans to make praying in the streets for Muslims illegal, although all public prayers in France receive government approval beforehand.
“Here we have the hypocrisy of the French right. On one side, they authorize in the street and on the other side, they say ‘look French people, Muslims are taking over our streets and speak of invasion’,” French lawmaker Axel Urgin told a Press TV correspondent.
Even though France has the greatest Muslim population in Europe, Paris has only one mosque. This lack of mosques leaves French Muslims no choice but to attend Friday prayers at about a dozen street locations across France.
“If we are praying in the street, it’s because we have no other choice. We are using what we have, and that is the street,” the president of Muslim Association of Openness, Moussa Niambele said.
French politicians use the country’s 1905 secularism law as reasoning why taxpaying Muslims cannot be financially assisted by the government to build mosques. Right-wing mayors also allegedly refuse issuing construction permits to those who have the money.
Although another large mosque is currently under construction in the French capital of Paris, many say it will not be sufficient.
